Genstar Lighting (Pty) Ltd is a Johannesburg-based wholesale LED distributor. We supply electrical wholesalers, contractors, specifiers, property managers and industrial buyers with high-efficiency LED lighting at trade pricing — same-day dispatch from Sandhurst and Midrand, distributed across South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.
What we do
We stock and distribute LED lighting and luminaires across six core categories: downlights, commercial panels, outdoor & floodlights, fan lights, LED lamps & specialty, and custom enclosures. The catalogue spans 1,900+ active SKUs — from a 3W GU10 lamp to a 240W industrial high-bay — and grows every quarter.
Who we supply
Trade-only. We don't sell to consumers directly. Electrical wholesalers, contractors, specifiers, property managers, government tenders, and mining / industrial buyers all open trade accounts with Genstar and get tier-based pricing, 30-day credit terms after the first invoice, and direct technical support.
Where we are
Head office at 3 Commerce Square, Sandhurst, Johannesburg. Distribution out of Sandhurst and Imvula Logistic, Midrand. Same-day dispatch on stocked items; next-day distribution to most of Gauteng, KZN, Western Cape and the cross-border markets.
The sister brand — GELS
Genstar Emergency Lighting Solutions (GELS) is our sister brand for SANS 1464-22 certified emergency lighting. From the 5 September 2026 Physical Agents Regulations deadline onward, every commercial workplace in South Africa needs compliant emergency lighting. GELS supplies the certified hardware; Genstar supplies the general-purpose LED. One trade account, both ranges.
